At barcelonaloversph, my goal is to mirror your energy. For Kristina and Ali, we didn't do "jump shots" or crazy running. Instead, we slowed everything down.
I guided them to focus on the intimacy between them—the way Ali holds Kristina, the way they both look at the baby bump with such anticipation. We aimed for a "fairy" aesthetic: soft movements, gentle touches, and letting Kristina’s elegance shine through. It was about capturing that "glow" that only a mother-to-be possesses, mixed with the romance of a couple deeply in love. The result is candid, yet incredibly polished and high-fashion.
Location Spotlight: The Enchanted Ciutadella Park
To match this "fairy" and elegant vibe, there was only one choice: Parc de la Ciutadella.
While the beach is fun and the Gothic Quarter is dramatic, Ciutadella offers a lush, green oasis that feels like a secret garden in the middle of the city. It was the perfect backdrop for the delicate look we wanted.

- The Cascada Monumental: This massive, golden waterfall is the park's crown jewel. Fun Fact: A very young Antoni Gaudí (long before the Sagrada Família) helped design the hydraulics and the decorative medallions on this fountain! It adds a regal, historic touch to photos.
- The Greenery: The park was built on the grounds of an old military citadel (hence the name), but today it is filled with diverse vegetation that filters the sunlight beautifully, creating that "dreamy" bokeh effect in the background.
- The Mammoth: Okay, we kept it elegant for this shoot, but there is a life-sized stone Mammoth sculpture in the park from 1907! It’s a quirky slice of history hidden among the trees.
The Experience: From Dubai Heat to Barcelona Glow
Coming from Dubai, Kristina and Ali are used to heat, but the August afternoon in Barcelona offers a different kind of warmth. It’s softer, more romantic.
The session flowed like a walk in the park—literally. We started near the fountain to get those grand, epic shots that look like they belong in a magazine. As the sun began to soften, we moved into the deeper, greener areas of the park.
There were moments where I simply stepped back and let them be. You could see the excitement in their eyes—the realization that "next time we are in Europe, we will be parents."
