A Romantic Valentine’s Day Proposal in Ciutadella Park, Barcelona
As a couples photographer in Barcelona, I’m always honored to capture heartfelt moments, and Nestor’s Valentine’s Day proposal to Keren was no exception.
Nestor reached out to me with a clear vision for his proposal. He booked me for February 14th, the most romantic day of the year, and we planned every detail carefully. The idea was simple but sweet: I would be at the location, casually taking photos of couples, and approach them, saying how adorable they looked together. This way, Keren would be surprised and unsuspecting.
When the moment came, Nestor dropped to one knee and proposed. Keren was moved to tears, completely surprised by his heartfelt gesture. High school sweethearts, they had been together for 10 years, and Nestor felt it was finally the perfect time to ask the question.
The photos captured their love, joy, and the beauty of their long-awaited moment. It was truly a Valentine’s Day to remember.
Planning a surprise proposal in Barcelona is a magical way to create unforgettable memories. I'm Gaby, a Barcelona photographer specializing in couples' love stories—surprise proposals, engagements, anniversaries, and maternity shoots—capturing timeless memories with a candid, joyful style in Barcelona's most magical spots.
Here are three ways to plan your proposal:
Option 1: Spontaneous Surprise
I’ll be at the location and approach you as a "passerby" photographer. After asking to take your photo, you propose, and we capture the joy.
Option 2: A Planned Session
Your partner thinks it’s a regular photoshoot. At a pre-planned moment, I’ll cue you to propose in an intimate, natural way.
Option 3: The Grand Finale
Save the proposal for the session’s end at a meaningful spot. I’ll provide the perfect cue for you to pop the question.
